The imprisoned Balkany spouses: “a totally unfair decision” according to Patrick Balkany!

Justice has decided to revoke the placement under electronic bracelet of the Balkany spouses, paving the way for their incarceration. The Rouen Court of Appeal confirmed on Thursday the revocation of the Balkany spouses' placement under an electronic bracelet, paving the way for the imprisonment of the former mayor of the Republicans of Levallois-Perret and his wife convicted of tax evasion , a- we learned from the prosecution and lawyers. 

The spouses had been sentenced on appeal to three years in prison for tax fraud in March 2020, then to, respectively, five and four years in detention for the former executive of the Ile-de-France right and his wife, for laundering of tax fraud . They had then been dismissed from their elected offices in the city of Levallois-Perret and had both been placed under electronic bracelets.
